Sensei Brian McClernan will be instructing adults in traditional Japanese Ju-Jitsu in his Timonium dojo. We incorporate Judo, Aikido, Karate, and grappling. Sensei Brian McClernan has been studying Ju-Jitsu since 1999, and is a Nidan rank, 2nd degree black belt, certified by The American Ju-Jitsu Association, a nationally recognized organization. Ju-Jitsu or "The Gentle Art" is not trained in full contact fashion, and is not to be confused with "MMA". We teach discipline, repect, honor and confidence. Ju-Jitsu's history and lineage dates back to the Samurai in futile Japan, hundreds of years ago. We practice throws, holds, take-downs, chokes, kicks, punches, grappling, submissions, and other tactics related to this art. Even those with no experience are welcome, as we teach according to your skill level.
